Matt Bailey

Matt is an obsessive generalist who works at the intersection of civic engagement and technology. Prior to joining the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as a technology strategist this year, Matt was CTO for Citizen Effect, a non-profit that paired a Kickstarter-like fundraising platform with community organizing and skill-buildin g.He’s worked in civil sector technology consulting, web development, and information security. He does other stuff too, like study Victorian literature, draw comics, and write recursive bios, of which this is an example. Matt is originally from Seattle.
